Install the browser extension

Add the LCR to WardCentral extension to Chrome or Brave. It runs only on LCR pages.

Copy for WardCentral & paste all three reports

In LCR, open the Member Directory, Member Callings, and Organizations reports and click Copy for WardCentral on each. Paste all three into WardCentral — no files to export, no spreadsheet to hand-clean.

Create your account

The signup wizard walks you through the pastes — which also confirm you hold a bishopric calling — then you choose your email and password. Your ward activates on the spot: you land signed in with the admin screens unlocked.

The extension supports Chrome and Edge only — Safari and Firefox are not supported. (The WardCentral web app itself runs in any current browser.) Store links are coming with the first public release.

Privacy & security

Member data is encrypted and scoped to your ward's verified leaders — never shared with other wards, never sold, never used to advertise. The companion extension only reformats reports a leader is already authorized to view in LCR; WardCentral never logs into or scrapes LCR itself. We collect minimal PII and act as a data processor — your bishopric is the data controller.

Keys your bishopric holds

Member data is encrypted at rest under leaders-only keys derived from your bishopric's passphrases. WardCentral cannot read your data from its database or backups — decryption requires a ward leader to sign in. While a leader is signed in, data is processed in server memory; fully client-side, zero-knowledge encryption is our next step.

WardCentral is an independent tool — not official Church software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Who it's for

WardCentral v1 is built for the people who run the ward day to day: the bishop and his two counselors, the ward clerk, and the executive secretary. Access is gated to verified bishopric members of your ward — and a new bishopric inherits a working system instead of a blank sheet.

What's next

On the roadmap — not part of v1

WardCentral starts with bishopric administration. In the future we plan to add member-facing value: sacrament-meeting programs, announcements, meeting music planning, opt-in group messaging, and integration with the Church's calendar and ward home page — without compromising the leaders-only, minimal-data foundation.
